Nice place to stay in Cork?

We are going to Cork end of April. Can anyone please advise of a nice plce to stay at a reasanoble price in a nice spot in cork? i would prefer in the countryside rather then in the city

  1. West Cork is lovely, keep away from Cobh though, it is full of nasty people.


  2. As I lived in Cork for 12 years I was going to name places but the first answer provided you with lots of good links. You have lots of choice there.

  3. the celtic ross hotel in rosscarbery,west cork..near skibbereen,owenahincha beach,the long strand,red strand,the warren,union hall,clonakilty..tis coastal area,quiet,green..good horse country,relaxin..i like it,but ive never stayed at the celtic ross,i just hire a mobile home,so tis up to you ,hope its nice for ye if ye come over.

  4. im from cork! and if you want to go to somewhere in the country, a place called killeagh is nice. i live their. its half an hour from the city and it has 2 or 3 b+b's,like 4 or 5 pubs where the craic is mighty, a restaurant and 3 shops,a hairdresser and a beautician. one b+b is called tattans and have good rates. its a really beautiful countryside place where their is often gaa matches to watch. its located in the middle of youghal and midleton, two large towns that have great restaurants and shops! their is also hotels in these areas including the 5 star midleton park hotel!

  5. clonakilty is beautiful and i live there!! visit if youre coming to ireland, youll love it. agree with magnum also bout rosscarbery- went to school there! clonakilty has more of a buzz about it though, and alot more pubs. take a trip to glandore also gorgeous!!

  9. Skibereen and Clonakilty in West Cork are beautiful places to stay, and they're really close to the sea. The first answer provided you with great links for accomodation, but I would recommend those towns to stay in.
