Nice places/Fun things to do in Puerto Rico?

I am going to Puerto Rico and i wanted to know where is the best place to stay at.And what are some cool places to go to? And i also wanted to know info about the rain forest [like will i see tigers]?

Where to go?

I recommend staying away from the cities..(too much ghetto)

Visit El Yunque and no you will not see any tigers there aren't any big animals. There may be deer..(i doubt that though)

just a lot of birds.

Go to beaches a lot of them are very nice I suggest northern eastern beaches.(there are many resorts due to the fact that the western part of the island isn't that populated.)

You could also ask to go to Rivers and Lakes and such.

If you are looking to spend some time in the mountains check out this great mountain retreat..www.hotelcasagrande.com.  You can swing from a hammock while pondering the mountainside.  It is within driving range to Caverns of Camuy and Arecibo Lighthouse and Observatory.  You can also take a relaxing ride around the Lake Dos Bocas (for free).  The mountain retreat offers affordable stay with good food and beautiful gardens.  Check out the website.

Where to stay- Probably in the Isla Verde/Condado area for first time young people.  Great action and lots of people around.  Personally I like the NE area, it is more natural, lots of green in the rainforest, not city like at all. But is is also a slower pace- no clubs etc.  It depends on what you like.  

For the best fun, rent a car- it is cheaper than doing tours and you can really see the island and experience the real culture (not just the tourist areas).

There are a ton of fun things to do in PR, what you decide on depends what you like to do.

Beaches, clubs,casinos, history, watersports ,even things like ATV and zipline  tours.  Besides the main island, there are smaller out islands where the best snorkeling is located.  The BioBay is a must do.  Check my travel site to lots of ideas:

About the rainforest,sorry- no large animals.  PR was never attached to other land masses, so we have no "wild" mammals here in the rain forest larger than a mongoose!  It is more just green and lush and waterfalls etc.  Info on the rainforest including the 101, the trail maps:

Puerto Rico is a beautiful island. Their rivers, Lagos, beaches, level and mountains do a matchless island to him. But the places where you see tigers are the Zoological one of Mayaguez, to the west of Puerto Rico or in the Coffer of Noah in Quebradillas to the Northwest of the island. It does not stop visiting old San Juan, the Parguera (Bioluminicent Bay), the caverns of Camuy, the observatory of Arecibo, and all the natural enchantment of our island.
