Question:

Nice restaurant in Dallas, TX?

My dad wants to take me out for a nice dinner for my 16th birthday. He wants me to pick out the restaurant and I haven't got a clue where to go. It needs to be a fairly formal restaurant, probably a steakhouse, but italian would do too. And it needs to be a place where you have to wear a nice dress. Any ideas?

  1. I'm not fancy so here it goes...

    either Papasitos(mexican), or Cheesecake Factory(its a restaurant.)

  2. Ask for a window seat when you make your reservations

Also, ask if they aren't busy to go down to see the wine cellar it is pretty cool

They have a pond w/ ducks to look out while you eat

    The tiramisu is yumm

    Another option is...

    http://www.sambucarestaurant.com/

the uptown location is the best location

  3. Buffalo Wild Wings!

eh... its not too formal, but still delicious!

  4. Try Houston's. The food and atmosphere is very nice and sophisticated.

  5. Mortons would be a good place.. It is on the expensive side but it sounds like thats what your looking for....plus its goooooood......!!!!  Its an expensive steak place

  6. sweetheart, with all due respect to the previous answers, if you like Italian, I strongly suggest you have him take you to Arcodoro/Pomodoro on Routh St.  it's actually two restuarants in one and you want reservations on the Pomodoro side.  It's more formal and your nice dress will be perfectly suited.  you dont want to go to yet ANOTHER friggin steakhouse on this occasion, and most of the others mentioned here arent "up to the occasion", if you know what I mean :)   Pomodoro is very nice, and not too expensive.

Choice # 2 is Patrizio, but only the one in Highland Park Village!  I am always amazed at how nice the atmosphere and food are for the price they charge.  It can get loud, but some people like it that way.

Choice #3...if you really want to go all the way, have him take you to Adelmo's on Cole.

    Happy Birthday!

  7. CheeseCake Factory

7700 West Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX 75225
