Nice restaurant to go to while still on a budget?

I want to take my boyfriend out to dinner tonight as a surprise. I don't have a ton of money, but I do want to go somewhere nice. Any suggestions?

the best way to stay on a budget and enjoy eating out is to go out during lunch menu hours and eat dinners at home..  

no matter what the restaurant it is easy to spend a lot of money if you order the pricier items.  Why don't you take him to a buffet, then you know exactly how much you will be spending..  most men like buffets..
