Nice towns in Montana to stop in?

I'm planning a road trip in Montana, what are some towns or places that would be good places to visit or stop? Pretty places/cute towns/good attractions/etc? We're seeing if is somewhere we'd like to live but have a great vaca at the same time. It'll be in early November.

My favorite is Great Falls. I believe there used to be seven, with the dams and power plants I feel they are at 5 now. The Lewis & Clark had to portage their boats around these falls. This was no easy feat in the early 1800's.
