Question:

Nice wedding gown shop in CA?

I'm planning my wedding and am not sure where I want to look to get my wedding dress. I've kind of looked at David's Bridal and I know that's a popular place. What are other nice places. I'm looking for a good designed dress and a place with lots of options, I know SF has a lot of places and I don't want to go to a small boutique (even though some have great dresses).

I also don't want to go to a bunch of different stores because I don't want to be overwhelmed and confused.

Where did you buy your dress and why?

Also I'm looking to spend anywhere between $800-$2000

  1. go to this site check that.http://www.kanaccasbridal.com/

    they have lots of dresses

  2. Where are you located?

If you want to go to a shop that has a ton of dresses/designers I recommend going to Gesinee's in Concord. It's a great place to go to try on dresses - but I wouldn't actually buy the dress there because of their prices. I got my dress there, but only because I was able to buy it off the rack for a great price. But as far as dress selection they are great and you will be able to try on a lot of dresses and get ideas.

  3. It sounds like you're in the bay area.  I bought mine in Milpitas, even though I'm not from there, but the store was great.  The owner was there and she was so sweet and didn't pressure us at all.  We bought the dress for a little under 900 and the alterations were around 250.  If you're familiar with Milpitas, it's in the same little parking lot as Bakers' Square and connected to the FedEx or UPS store.  It's small, but has a lot of choices.

  4. I bought my dress online.  I went to David's and honestly, i was a huge waste of time and energy.  That place is extremely over-rated and caused me nothing but a headache, especially the ones in the Bay Area (I went to two different stores three different times in total). The only good thing about that horrible place is that I got an idea of what style of dress I liked and what worked for me. Sadly, I couldn't get the complete package at David's without being hassled by my 'adviser'. With my style in mind, I went online and found my dress.

Long story short... Don't spend any more energy at David's. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful on an actual place.
