  1. Aberdeen.  

    It has everything.

    Beautiful sandy beach, great nightlife, mountains within easy distance, fishing, hiking, museums, castles, friendly natives & much, much more.


  2. Cornwall is very beautiful but sadly too many visitors, and in Scotland i love the Highlands.

  3. The Lake District, its got gorgeous scenery.

  4. Scotland, around the Arrochar Alps. Very beautiful and peaceful.

    I was catching this plane back to Canada.

  7. There is a little village across the river from Teignmouth called Shaldon. I was raised there during the war and to me its my own second heaven. In fact I would defiantly rather be there now than in the real place that's called heaven. !!

    Buxton is the highest town in England.

    His right though - it is very nice!!!!

  25. Galloway in south west Scotland. I went to school there. It is the most idyllic place I know in Great Britain.

  26. It has to be Polperro in Cornwall.  It is absolutely lost in time!  Tranquill, beautiful, the benefit of sea and countryside and the people are wonderful.  We visit it every year and it gets better and better.   It is the place that time forgot.............

  31. I would agree with Polperro in Cornwall.  The nicest place I have been to in Scotland is anywhere in the Highlands
