Nicest tennis players?

Question

Which tennis players are the nicest? I think Lindsay Davenport, Kim Clijsters and Mary Pierce. Agree, disagree, tell me who you think are the nicest as well.

Lindsay and Jelena are some of nicest women players. While Federer, Nadal, and Kuerten are among the men players.

Ana Ivanovic, Lindsay Davenport, James Blake, Rafael Nadal, and Roger Federer. A survey among ball boys/girls claims that they find Ana the nicest player on tour. Nadal and Blake are very polite and respectful even if they lose. Federer has great on-court manners, but I'm not sure if that's just because he's the no. 1 player in the world and doesn't want to tarnish his reputation or if he's just really a gentleman.

Men: For me it's between Roger Federer and James Blake.

Women: Between Ana Ivanovic and Lindsay Davenport.

jelena jankovic is really nice on the women's side. i think justine henin was nice too, but she's retired now.

as for the men, james blake and rafael nadal are pretty nice guys.

I've never heard of Mary Pierce being known for her niceness per se, but I'll take your word for it.  I agree though with Lindsay Davenport and Kim Clijsters being named, as both players are or were very friendly with everyone on the tour.  I've also heard that Svetlana Kuznetsova, Daniela Hantuchova, and Ana Ivanovic are all really nice and very popular among the other players.  And going back about 10+ years Natasha Zvereva was also very popular with everyone.

yeah mary pierce is nice. so is lindsay. monica seles is also nice, though some of the younger ones out here may not remember her.  sania mirza is also nice. also, i think alex corretja, a spanish guy who was a losing finalist at french open, is a real gentleman. pete sampras  and roger federer though they have every reason to be arrogant, are very humble and good natured.

I agree. I have met Lindsay Davenport and Kim Clijsters for the JP Morgan tournament in Carson for KIDS DAY and they were really nice and talked to us. They let us take pictures with them and gave us autographs. I have never met Mary Pierce, so I really can't say. Elena Dementieva was also nice when I asked for her autograph :]

Kim Clijsters is considered to be one of the nicest players on the tour. She has won the Karen Krantzcke Sportsmanship Award 6 times. Lindsay Davenport and Ana Ivanovic could be in the category too. However, I don't think Mary Pierce is one of the nicest players on the tour.

amelie mauresmo--as sweet and charming as one can be if you ask me. svetlana kuznetsova is as well. daniela hantuchova,nathalie dechy,nadia petrova & vera zvonareva.

btw,mary pierce is TOO a nice girl. if anybody remembers the same pierce i do,she is far from what i consider being deemed mean person. she loves talking to the other players....never has anything negative to say toward anybody. the only thing i've ever heard her say was at RG this year when she was interviewed talking about how maria at the beginning of her career,she wasn't the friendliest person and how much she has changed since then. but she may have her quirks but that doesn't mean it has ill-intention.....she's been doing some of that stuff since the day she began playing as a pro,and everybody already knows it. but off-court she is incredibly kind and gracious. also,i don't think i have ever seen a happier loser as i have in mary pierce.
