Nick Bockwinkel was a lot more technical in skill whereas Harley Race was a brawler.

Only thing was that Harley Race had the Brisco's, Ric Flair, Tommy Rich, Barry Windham, Sgt. Slaughter and other major names going after his NWA World Title.  Nick Bockwinkel had Jerry Blackwell, d**k the Bruiser, The Sheik, Scott Hall, Curt Hennig, Jerry Lawler, Greg Gagne, Verne Gagne, Hulk Hogan, among others, vying for the AWA World Championship.

d**n!..this is a tough one, I'll give the edge to Bockwinkle by the width of a hair. Harley Race was great, he just had more of a rough house style, while Nick had the better overall wrestling. Don't get me wrong, Race could wrestle..which is why I say Bockwinkle by the width of a hair.

Don't even ask which one did the better promos..I think that would be the toughest question ever...

Bockwinkle, but not by much. Bockwinkle was like the AWA's answer to Ric Flair.
