  1. Yep, I bet you're right.

  2. Nick at times can have the Johnny Miller complex.  He thinks he knows it all, but he doesn't.  He has one of the most repeatable swings of all time, but will it translate into him being a winning Ryder Cup coach?  Who knows.  How many players on either team are peaking other than a guy like Sergio?

Once Zinger makes his picks on Tuesday, they'll probably stop talking about Faldo's choices in Casey & Poulter, which were pretty good picks from a match play standpoint.  I guarantee he'll end up picking the boring guys that won't bring any excitement to the event.  Verplank, Stricker (who I like), Mahan, & Trahan I'm willing to bet.  I'm hoping I'm wrong with the exception of Stricker.  We need the JB's & Bubba's of the world, etc.  Not just the long ballers, but guys that will bring some life to this lackluster event.  It's not what it used to be thanks to extreme seriousness of the Ryder Cup.  Guys, relax, have fun, and enjoy the week.  Sure, you're playing for your country, but that's supposed to be one of the positives of being of the the best American's in the world.  Have fun, and somebody please put a muzzle on Garcia

  3. Knowing Faldo, Yes.

  4. Yes. He is not the man for the job.

  5. Yes me too. The vibes are bad. The US look a good bet now at better than evens for reasons that are not immediately apparent

  6. One thing I think we all should remember, We go into the Ryder Cup AS A TEAM. If you look at the Americans you see so many INDIVIDUALS, you can see why I think we will fare well in the comp. You never see the so called American team associate with each other after the days events etc.

I think we have another strong team to go up against the Americans,  I think our team could of been steadied and strengthened by the well established Collin M. But Nick has had to make a decision and I for one stand by him.

    "Come on Team Europe"

  7. I don't know what golf you all been watching lately...but NON of the American's have been playing that great lately.  You all underestimate the Europeans cause you don't see them playing on the PGA tour each week.  The overall, they are a much better group of players...and currently playing much better than the American's...  I think it'll be another blowout for the European's...but hope its not...it'll be more exciting if its close.

  8. I've been a great Faldo fan  all the way - especially when he used to get slammed in the press - nicknamed El Foldo when he failed. The media can be quite vicious at times - and tough nut  that he is - Faldo was tough towards them in return - adding to his reputation of being a sour-puss and having a 'charisma by-pass'. He was castigated for not being more supportive towards a fellow  Ryder Cup partner but that was the way he remained 110% focussed on his game - and not let anything distract his concentration.  Ryder Cup is as tense as it gets - and Faldo's experience will be an asset.  It's often argued our successes have been largely due to a better team spirit - the chuminess and cheerfulness of the European tour as against the much more individualistic and detached ethos which pervades the US tour.  Montie is media friendly, has a fine RC record but we know he can be easily distracted when not playing well - especially when heckled by a hostile US crowd.

On paper the US will be favourites and use all the usual mind games - in which Faldo is well practised.

That much older, wiser and no longer playing at the top echelons, Faldo has softened quite a lot and with 6 Majors to his credit he will command the utmost respect from the team.

So I reckon he'll do a good job - as he'll need to - and concentrate on his Captain's role and getting the best result.

    Think positive !!! Lol.

  9. I am sure a lot of us thought the same about Sam and the Woosie, and Sevvy, give the guy the benefit of doubt, the shows not over till the fat lady sings,o.k.?

  10. I thought you were referring to real tears on Nick's part. He has been know to shed a few in his past performances.
