Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner revealed that while being at Sunderland was different than being at the London club, he was certain he did not want to return to the Emirates Stadium next season. The 23-year-old http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Denmark-c2884 international arrived at the Stadium
of Light in the summer transfer window on a season long loan move and revealed that he did not wish to return to Arsenal.
Bendtner said in an interview:
“It's very different from London, but you just have to learn and adapt.”
Bendtner revealed that he had rented a house for convenience and planned to spend time with his family and friends when he was not busy with football. He admitted it was different and that it would be difficult adjusting to Sunderland, but that he was willing
to give it a shot. The striker was certain he would go on to enjoy his football with the Black Cats as time progressed.
The Danish striker c*m winger revealed that he did not think he was one of the best strikers in the world, and it was something that had been misconstrued by the media. He said he had simply claimed that he had improved as a player and needed to score more
goals to become a better striker. However, Bendtner felt he had been denied the chance at Arsenal since he never got a chance at regular football.
He said:
“I said I thought in my game that I can always improve but the thing that I missed that I needed to do was to score more goals.
But it was difficult for me as I never really got a run of games so I didn't have a chance to do that.”
As for a possible return to Arsenal at the end of the season, Bendtner revealed that it was highly unlikely. Last season he went on to make 32 appearances and score 9 goals with four assists, but most of his appearances were as a substitute. He said he was
willing to talk to Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger to see if the Frenchman was willing to guarantee him regular football before he decided to return.
Bendtner continued:
“One thing is for sure is that I want to play football, I do not want to do what I have been doing before. If it's going to be the same way I would rather not go back [to Arsenal].”
