http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nicklas-Bendtner-c27726 edges close to Arsenal exit as Sporting Lisbon become favourites to sign him
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 forward and Danish international, Nicklas Bendtner has been on the ropes with the Gunners for quite some time. The striker has almost always been second favourite at the club and despite him going to help the team through a number of rough patches,
he has often been left on the side lines, with it seeming impossible for him to break into the first team.
Nonetheless, it now seems like the forward might finally be looking to pursue a career elsewhere, as the club have given him permission to talk to various clubs. The striker missed out on the Gunners training in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984 during
the same time frame.
According to a number of reports and sources, the forward is now closing in on a move to Portuguese club, Sporting Lisbon, with only the final terms and conditions of his contract left to be discussed. The twenty three year old is reportedly up for sale
for a price of nine million pounds, which if true, is good business for all the parties involved.
Following the addition of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gervinho-c14755 to the Gunners squad, the chances of Bendtner breaking into the first team were looking to be slimmer than ever and it just meant that he would be nothing more than an extra face on the bench for the team. On the other
hand, with him now going on to potentially join Sporting, his first team opportunities are going to be taking a massive spike and he might finally be able to prove his worth to the world.
The forward has so far made ninety eight appearance for Arsenal in the Premier League and has gone on to score an impressive twenty two goals during his stay with the Gunners.
At the moment there have been no official comments from either club or player regarding this move taking place, but according to a number of sources, it is now inevitable for it to take place.
Bendtner was also being pursued by a number of other clubs, with Premier League side http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019 being the other favourites to land the striker. However, it seems like Arsenal aren’t willing to sell to a team that could prove to rival them in the coming seasons
and hence have opted for him to talk to the Portuguese club instead.
Should all the paper work take place on time and the forward not suffer any hiccups on his medical, then he could be a Sporting player within the next eight days.
