Arsenal striker, Nicklas Bendtner has gone on to confirm that he is looking to part ways with the Gunners. The striker feels he has far too much time in the shadows at the Emirates and it is now time for him to go ahead and make something of his footballing career.
The striker has been unhappy at the club for quite some time now and his imminent transfer away from the club has only been delayed due to injuries.
However, with Bendtner now fit and rearing to go, it seems like only a matter of time before the clubs start coming in, to try and land the forward.
The striker has gone on to express his future ambitions and is quoted to have said:
"Hopefully it will be sorted soon but as I said to the Danish press, when I know something they will"
The player then went on to admit that he would like to play at a club where he is happy, instead of in a team where he spends almost all his time on the bench.
Bendtner then went on to add: "I would like to play at a place where you are happy and play every week, that is the most important thing for any football player and hopefully that will happen soon."
The Danish coach, Morten Olsen also seems to be on par with the striker’s wishes. Olson feels Bendtner isn’t going to be getting any younger and should he not try and take a hold of his career, it wouldn’t be long before all his talent goes down the drain.
Olsen when talking about Bendtner and his career is quoted to have said: "It is good for himself if he plays first-team football. You don't play football for 50 years, you have to enjoy it as long as possible.
The coach then admitted that despite money playing a vital role in players careers, national players were by default determined to perform at the highest of levels.
Olsen then ended by adding: "Of course it is also a money question but a national player has a lot of ambition and wants to play football.”
Bendtner had been linked with a move out of Arsenal, almost immediately after the transfer window opened. The striker seemed to be on the brink of joining Sporting Lisbon, but so far, there hasn’t been any real progress on that front.
Nonetheless, that being said, it seems almost certain for Bendtner to continue his career elsewhere, this coming season.
