I think these are the only four teams in the rugby world cup without nicknames. Any corrections/suggestions?

  1. The English-The Poms (prisioner-of her-majestry} or the English rose.

The Irish-The clovers or Paddys Army

    The Scottish-Rob Roys Army

  2. The Namibian team is the Welwitchias.

Personally, I think it's just fine that teams don't have nicknames.

  3. During the Six Nation tournament the Scots are always referred to as The Celts.  Don't know why Wales or Ireland aren't described thus as well.

  4. England's rugby team doesn't have an official nickname, unless you count the rude ones put forward by it's Celtic neighbours (usually allegations of arrogance), Australians (Poms - that's rather a polite one!), New Zealanders (something about the inferiority of the Old Country).  The team's symbol is the red rose (which then the UK Labour Party then took on as it's own).

Scotland and Ireland likewise don't have official nicknames.

Namibia?  No idea...but that's not meant arrogantly!
