  1. I think just AP would suffice

  2. you could do...

    Abe

    Ben

    Will

  3. Aubrey Benjamin Wilbur Padraig

    Aubby?

    Ben

    Will or Willie

  4. Aube

    Abb

    Brey

    Ray

    Abs

    Abe

    xx

  5. Aurb or Bray?

  6. Aubrey? You know thats a girls name right?  He could call him sell Brey I guess.

  7. I am sooooo glad to see that name used for a boy - it was my grandfather's nickname (well, and his middle name).  Just use Aubrey - or you could use Aubbie, my friend uses Auddie as her name is Audrey.

  8. I LOVE Aubrey on a boy.  (I like Ashley for boys, too, and while I probably wouldn't use it since it has become such a common girls' name, I've always seen Aubrey as a great alternative.  I'm more than a bit annoyed that it seems to be going over into the girls' camp.  I don't think it's too far gone, though, so I'd encourage you to try to reclaim it for the male side.)

Aubrey doesn't seem to need a nickname.  It's already only two-syllables, and it already ends in Y like so many common cutesy nicknames (Billy, Jimmy, Danny, etc.).  "Aub" would probably be my nickname of choice, if I felt the need to shorten it.  Aubby is cute, too, but only for when he's really small.  I went to middle school with a girl named Bree, so I'd probably avoid using Brey on a boy, buy it's not bad.

You probably don't need to pick out a nickname in advance.  Kids tend to earn their own nicknames as they grow up, and various people might call them by different nicknames.  The only times I think it's important to assign a nickname in advance are when you are bestowing a particularly long first name that doesn't have an obvious nickname (e.g., Persephone) or when you are trying to avoid having others call your child by a common nickname (e.g., if you hate Billy but like Will).

Good luck, and I hope this helps!

  9. ohh a hard one.. how abot AJ lol

  10. I love love Love Aubrey on a boy! It would be higher on my list if people didn't think it was a girl name, ughh!

I would probably call my Aubrey, Aubey or Abe. Or maybe Auben from Benjamin?

  11. Aubie, Brey ... I don't know, I don't like that name for a boy.  You should do Benjamin Aubrey Wilbur instead.  Call him Ben, not Benji.  It's much less feminine.

  12. i sayyy... uhmm

    REYY.

    orr aj.

    or aubbie

  13. you can use Ree or A.B.

  14. Ben

  15. I'd probably say Aub or Brey...make the nickname monosyllable.

  16. Wrong, Aubrey's *unisex*. It means 'elvin ruler', 'noble ruler' and 'blond ruler'. I've never seen it listed as 'elvin king', check any name site.

And, sorry, but you have no right to put down a name, just because you don't like it. I mean, I think Rose Cordelia Isabeau is horrendous, but I don't think you shouldn't use it just because of my *opinion* on it.

Sure, I'd like to change everyone that didn't agree with me, too, but unfortunately this isn't Communist Russia.

  17. Aub

    Bub

    Brey

    Audie

  18. Aub, Ade, even Al or Ali.  Don't care for Abe, since I'm not crazy about Abraham.

  19. I love Aubrey on a boy! People don't know what actually fits. Great choice. My nephew is Aubrey Bryan Segal and I absolutely love this name! In my opinion I wouldn't give a nick name to somebody named Aubrey because It is perfect by itself! If I were to pick a nick name, though, I would probably use: Aubi (obby). Again, A great pick!

    Hope I Help!

  20. I love the name Aubrey!  Very nice.  Aubrey Benjamin sounds great together, but I assume that Wilbur must have familial significance.  Nicknames could be Abe or Brey.

  21. no offense, but i think u should pick a different boy name. Aubrey is the name of one of my friends (whose a girl)

  22. Lol. Well my brothers girlfriend is pregnant and she has said that if the baby is a girl, Aubrey is one of the names that she will consider calling her. She would shorten it to Orb.

  23. Not meaning to be mean at all...just an opinion...but for one, I think Aubrey sounds like a girl name. I've actually never known a male to be named that. And for two, if you already want to find a nickname to call him instead of calling him by Aubrey..then why would you want to name him Aubrey in the first place? I'm sorry. I hope I didn't offend. If you really insist...I would go with Rey.

  24. Rey

  25. Aubrey is a girl's name in my opinion, so I don't know...

Elvin king? Some weird Lord of the Rings c**p? Ick.
