Nicky Hayden remains unsatisfied with their performance at Motegi circuit – MotoGP news
Nicky Hayden of Ducati remains unsatisfied with their performance at Japanese Grand Prix as they were unable to perform impressively due to the questionable performance of their bike.
He told that he was not very comfortable with the performance of his bike and added that they were behind throughout the weekend. They thought they have been able to resolve the issues on the race day but it was not the case.
Hayden said, “It wasn’t a great race for me. We were a little bit behind all weekend, but then this morning we thought we had made up some ground. In the race, though, I was having troubles getting the bike stopped, especially in the early laps.”
He told that he was finding difficulties in controlling his bike because of the vibration in the rear wheel of his bike and was lacking pace as well. He added that normally they have impressive straight line speed but during the Japanese GP they were facing
problems in that area. He believes that it was the same problem Valentino Rossi, his teammate, was struggling through, during the Japanese GP.
“Normally our bike is really good in straight-line braking, so it’s a shame Vale and I struggled here, but anyway, it’s good to finish a race and have something to build on,” he added.
The American rider told that he is satisfied that they were able to make it to the finish line and thanked his team and physio for their hard work. His physio played an important role in the race at the Japanese circuit because he had a fracture in his wrist.
Besides, he told that he is looking forward towards the upcoming Malaysian Grand Prix, held at the Sepang circuit, scheduled on October 21, 2012.
Ducati riders have been struggling with the performance of their bike however they have tried to make it more competitive over the circuit. This is evident by considering the speed of their machine during the practice sessions. The second accident with the
wrist of the American rider is indeed very unfortunate and unpleasant for the fans of the sport.
Let’s see how the American rider performs at the upcoming Malaysian GP.
