Nico Hulkenberg feels excited for Australian Grand Prix – Formula 1 news
Force India driver Nico Hulkenberg feels very excited for the Australian Grand Prix of the forthcoming 2012 season to be held at Albert Park in Melbourne, Australia on March 18, 2012.
While expressing his feelings about the first race, the German driver said, “There’s a lot of excitement – that’s the word I keep using to describe how I’m feeling. And I think it will continue until the Sunday morning in Melbourne when I wake up knowing
I will be racing again in a few hours. That’s when you feel the buzz and get the feeling of anticipation in your stomach.”
During the last season, Hulkenberg was Force India’s reserve and the test driver after he was dropped by Williams for the 2011.
Moreover, he had an amazing time with his team last year and had been regarded as a highly rated driver for the approaching season.
Furthermore, he asserted that the pre-season testing had been quite dependable for them and it proved out to be very helpful for him getting prepared for the season opener.
However, he admitted that test driving was not similar as racing because there was no pressure of competition during the test. In addition, he said that the real test would be the qualifying session on this Saturday when one would get only one chance to
deliver instantaneously.
Additionally, when he was asked whether he would be able to find time for relaxation, he stated, “It’s a race where we arrive very early to adapt to the time zone, so I will get a chance to look around the city, do some jogging, cycling and visit places
like St Kilda beach. If there’s enough time I will explore the coast a bit.”
Besides, he said that he has many good recollections with Australia regardless of his first race which was cut short about only half a lap in 2010 at Melbourne.
Subsequently, he said that Albert Park is one of the very special F1 venues and it resembled the race events in Singapore and Monaco where everyone seemed friendly and the fans were supporting while the atmosphere was amazing.
