Nico Hulkenberg hopes to perform with consistency in remainder of 2012 – Formula 1 news
Force India driver Nico Hulkenberg has said that he is hoping to perform with consistency in the remainder of the 2012 Formula 1 season.
Hulkenberg has performed quite convincingly in the last few races and has managed to attain competitive results for his team. On the other hand, his teammate, Paul di Resta has also shown incredible pace in the preceding few grands prix.
It will be important to mention that the team principal of Force India, Vijay Mallya said that their aim is to beat Sauber in this year’s constructors’ championship for which they are making the best of the preparations.
Furthermore, the 25-year-old said that he is very happy with his team’s progress in the season until now and praised all the efforts of the engineers who have made some substantial step-ups in the car. Besides, he said that they need to keep up their consistency
in order to secure good position in this year’s championship.
“The team is doing a good job, and I feel more comfortable in the job,” the German told
Autosport. “We have nice rhythm and momentum, which is so important in F1 and it is running well.”
In addition, he said that they need to keep on making the essential advancement in their car to fight with their rivals and to score promising results in the remaining four races of the current season.
“But two race weekends ago in Singapore I had a more rough weekend, so we need to make sure we get four more weekends like this one,” he said.
“And I certainly wouldn't expect it just like that. It will be hard work so we need to stretch ourselves to achieve it every single time now,” he added.
At present, he is standing at 12th place in the drivers’ championship with 45 points. Additionally, he is ahead of Di Resta and is behind Sauber pair of drivers, Kamui Kobayashi and Sergio Perez.
Moreover, he is undoubtedly one of the most talented drivers in the field and it will be exciting to see how he shows up in the forthcoming races.
