Nico Hulkenberg interested in joining Force India
According to some recent reports, Nico Hulkenberg, who was replaced by Pastor Maldonado in Williams a couple of days ago is currently in talks with Force India about a possible race seat for next season.
Nico Hulkenberg was unable to score more points than his teammate Rubens Barrichello and it seemed that the young German was just another driver in the sport who is willing to earn money and gain more popularity after progressing slowly. However, Nico
proved the world wrong after taking pole position at the second last race of the season in Brazil in perfect dry conditions. It is possible for a driver to score such good times in uncertain conditions but Hulkenberg was able to beat Red Bull, McLaren and
Ferrari’s time by almost a second.
Hard to believe isn’t it? Nico has had a consistent season even though he was unable to prove that he has the capability of scoring good times in about 50-70 laps in a race. But it was quite obvious that since this was his debut season in the sport,
it takes a little time to get used to the technology and therefore, he deserves another chance without a shadow of a doubt.
His manager Willi Weber currently stated that he is trying to negotiate with Force India about a deal for 2011. It was quite disappointing to see how Williams chose Pastor Maldonado just because he was bringing in some major sponsors with him but nevertheless,
Nico is still confident he will end up in a good spot for the 2011 Formula 1 season.
“There are currently some talks. There are still options, but not too many. If you bring money to a F1 team, then that's what you do for the rest of your life,” said Weber.
Hulkenberg has had a very good rookie debut season in the sport and it seems that if he works a little harder, he has the spark that Sebastian Vettel had once before joining Red Bull to win the championship.
The young German driver has other options besides Force India and his manager believes that Nico will stay in the Formula 1 without a question.
“That would be a plan B, with the assurance of sitting in the car in 2012,” his manager added.
