Nico Hulkenberg to wait until December 2011 for final verdict from Force India – Formula 1 news
Force India’s test driver Nico Hulkenberg has recently revealed that he is going to have to wait until December 2011 for the team’s decision regarding its final race drivers’ line-up.
“(I) hope I can race with Force India but the Team will decide it not before Dec so I must wait,” the German driver wrote on his Twitter page.
Other than that, he also revealed that he is not going to be a part of the upcoming Singapore Grand Prix as he is not going to drive in the free practice 1 or 2. He said the team wants Adrian Sutil and Paul di Resta to make their regular runs and practice
more on track.
“I will not drive in FP1 in Singapore cause the team wants to give Adrian and Paul more track time and I understand and accept the Decision,” he wrote.
Hulkenberg used to be a race driver for Williams back in 2010 and since then he has made a mark in the sport. He has proved that he is not driving to score average results.
The young German secured an astounding pole position at the Brazilian Grand Prix back in 2010 with Williams and secured some pretty good points throughout the season as well despite the fact that it was his debut season in Formula 1.
Hulkenberg has scored some pretty good results and satisfied the team completely during the practice sessions he participated in. It was quite disappointing to see him leave Williams as the team signed Pastor Maldonado for the 2011 Formula 1 season mainly
because of the fact that the Venezuelan driver was bringing a major sponsor, PDVSA for the team.
As for his future, he is now seeking a race seat at Force India but his competition is tough as both Adrian Sutil and Paul di Resta have not signed a deal with the team for the 2012 Formula 1 season as a result of which all three of them are fighting for
this spot.
