Nico Rosberg feels excited about 2012 United States Grand Prix – Formula 1 news
Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg has said that he is feeling really excited about the 2012 United States Grand Prix and is aiming to attain competitive result for his team.
Rosberg could not score even a single point in the Abu Dhabi GP held at Yas Marina Circuit as he was retired because of his collision with Narain Karthikeyan of HRT.
Nevertheless, he is not feeling upset over his retirement in the preceding race and is eagerly looking forward to perform well in the forthcoming race which is going to be held at Circuit of the Americas which is a completely new track in the calendar.
Furthermore, he said that they have been working on their simulator at the factory and are hoping to come up stronger in the next weekend’s race.
“It will be very exciting to race in the USA again and I'm really looking forward to our visit. The United States Grand Prix should be a great event”, Rosberg said. “I can't wait to drive on the Circuit of the Americas track for the first time in practice
next Friday. I spent some time practising on simulator at factory this week so I know what to expect and we are as well prepared as we can be from our simulator work.”
In addition, he said that he is expecting good overtaking opportunities in the upcoming race and is targeting to score competitive points.
“We really want to end the season on positive note so we'll be aiming to score some points next weekend,” he added.
On the other hand, his teammate, Michael Schumacher is also enthusiastically eying to achieve good result in the approaching race.
In addition, the seven-time world champion has said that he has always enjoyed his visit to USA and is keenly waiting to drive on a new circuit.
Besides, he said that he is going to try his best to get promising results for his team in the remaining two grands prix of the current season.
It will be thrilling to see how the two veteran German drivers perform in the final two rounds of the ongoing season.
