Mercedes GP driver Nico Rosberg has expressed faith in his team boss, Ross Brawn.
The German believes that Brawn is going to bring the team back to the top next season after having met a lot of disappointment in the 2010.
While talking to the media earlier today, the young German said, "We were just not the best team in the way that the factory is set-up and everything. But I think we have the best people, starting off with Ross, so I have a lot of confidence that we'll get
there. It's just that Ross's process hasn't finished yet, and he's learning along the way also, I think.”
Rosberg believes that this season has brought many good lessons for the team and especially for Brawn. He added that the low times have made all of them analyse their weaknesses and now the entire crew is adamant that these will be converted into their strengths
before they begin the next season.
The Mercedes driver explained saying. "There's been a lot of change in the team. The last three years it's been a huge rollercoaster. It's just going to take some time to get it to work as everybody wants… Ross is making changes all the time, so yes, pieces
are falling into place. But it's difficult for me to judge how quickly and how efficiently, because I'm not really inside. It's still in the recovery period.”
The past few years have seen many highs and lows in the Brackley based squad. Brawn bought the team while it was drowning badly at the end of 2008 under the title of Toyota. Although no one expected to see it anywhere among the top runners, the team from
nowhere raised itself to win both, the drivers’ as well as the constructors’ Championship in 2009. The spectacular performance by the team at its debut season was seen as nothing less than a shock by all its rivals.
In 2010, an even better performance by the team was expected. Having signed the seven times world champion Michael Schumacher and being attached to the legendary name Mercedes-Benz, one could think of no reason for the team to perform badly. However, it
was not too late that the team as well as its fans accepted the fact that both the championships are already out of their reach.
Now, as the season has ended, the team has only been able to stand at fourth place in the Constructors’ Championship, almost 200 points adrift the old competitor Ferrari.
