Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka has admitted it would be a tough task to beat Manchester United in the last-eight clash of the UEFA Champions League.
He said United are a quality side and they have some great players in their ranks, which makes the fixture more exciting.
Chelsea will face Manchester United in the first leg of the clash on Wednesday, 6 April, 2011 at Stamford Bridge. The clash will be a repeat of the 2008 UEFA Champions League final in Moscow which the Red Devils won on penalties. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/John-Terry-c18895 missed the final
penalty, depriving his side from their first-ever European trophy.
Anelka claimed that the draw against United was not a good one as they are a very good side and it will be a difficult task to beat them with the players they have. He said that Chelsea also have the strength to beat the opposition and the Blues will have
to down them in every department of the game in order to progress.
“We know them (United) but I don't think it's a good draw because they are a good team and difficult to beat with a lot of quality players. But, if you want to win the Champions League you have to beat good teams,” the Frenchman was quoted as saying in an
interview to the Chelsea website.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international added that the meeting would have the feel of a Premier League fixture as the two English giants clash in London. He said that Chelsea have played the Red Devils on a number of times in the ongoing 2010-11 season and it would be
difficult for either side as the weaknesses will not be hidden.
“These two games with Manchester United will feel like Premier League games, we have already played them in so many games so these will be the same, and we will just have to see what happens,” claimed the former Bolton Wanderers striker.
Nicolas Anelka has scored 14 goals in the ongoing 2010-11 season for the London club in a total of 35 appearances and has been an integral part of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786’s success in the last two seasons.
