Nicolas Anelka looking to pledge future to Chelsea
Chelsea's, ace French striker Nicolas Anelka is eagerly looking to pledge his future to the team, while the other French forward on the team Gael Kakuta is still taking a while to make up his mind over deciding if he wishes to stay at the club or not.
Anelka recently scored his fiftieth goal for the team, during the teams midweek Champions League clash against Spartak Moscow and is currently in the best form of this career. So far this season, the player has managed to find the back of the net on eight
separate occasions, but plans of doing that plenty more times before the season ends. At the same time Anelka is looking to extend his contract, which would see him retire as a Chelsea player.
Anelka is reported to have said: “I am just very satisfied to achieve two landmarks with Chelsea in goals scored and how long I have spent here, it has just been special to score goals for Chelsea.”
“It is the first time I have scored that many for any club but it is the first time I have spent more than two-and-a-half years at a club as well. It shows how happy I am at Chelsea. When I first signed here I knew had arrived at a big club and I wanted
to stay as long as possible.”
Anelka is one of the players, who has managed to play for a handful of teams. The player has played for the likes of Arsenal, Fenerbache, Bolton and even Real Madrid. However, the player seems to have finally come into his own at Chelsea. The form and class
that he is displaying at the club is something he has not been able to do in the past, which is why he is adored by the fans at the Stamford Bridge.
Despite of currently being thirty years old, the player is still looking to provide his best to the team, for at least another two or three seasons. It is also the first time that Anelka has gone on to express his desire to stay at a club in the future,
which just shows his loyalty to the Blues.
All in all, this is more than just good news for Chelsea, what this means is, is that the team will have with at least one quality striker for the coming seasons, which could prove to be crucial in their attempts to land even more silverware in the coming
years.
