The Belgian national assured the fans of his availability in the upcoming Russian Premier League tie and lamented player injuries.
In the upcoming round of Russian Premier League action, Zenit St. Petersburg will play against Spartak Moscow at Luzhniki stadium. The last time these two teams met in a league competition, Spartak got away with a point after scoring
a late goal in a 2-2 home draw.
There’s little arguing that Zenit started the third league round poorly, having claimed just 6 points in 4 outings. The Meshki are low in confidence going into the league tie against Spartak, after drawing the home game against
Rubin Kazan at Petrovsky stadium.
Zenit defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nicolas-Lombaerts-c27825, has warned his teammates against dropping anymore points and urged them win the remaining games of the ongoing league campaign.
Reports in Russia had suggested that Lombaerts, the Belgian defender, is unlikely to be present for the upcoming game after sustaining a head injury while playing against Rubin Kazan. The 27-year-old collided with Cesar Navas while
Rubin were taking a corner kick.
However, Lombaerts has denied these reports, revealing that he is in contention to start the game against the Moscow-based club. He admitted that Valery Karpin has a decent squad at his disposal but, at the same time, added that
Zenit are ready for the game despite losing key players to injuries.

“I am absolutely normal, although after the collision I failed to understand anything at all. I remember looking around and only vaguely aware that I was at the stadium. I got the first aid immediately and felt much better after
they took me to the hospital.” The former Gent player was quoted as saying.
Lombaerts revealed that he loves to get forward in order to help the team score more often more corners, adding that he will continue his forward runs despite his latest injury.
