The Cameroon international leapt to the defence of the Olympique de Marseille coach and also spoke about his future at the Velodrome
One of the few bright sides of a dismal campaign of Marseille, Nicolas N’Koulou has slammed critics of the coach of the club, Didier Deschamps.
Defending his coach, the Cameroon international has voiced his opinion on a dreadful campaign that saw Marseille finish 10th in the top flight of French football. While talking to the reporters, the 22-year-old has expressed his frustration over
a disappointing campaign for the Rhone giants.
Despite enduring a poor campaign at Marseille, individual performances of N’Koulou were brilliant. String of commanding displays at the heart of Marseille defence helped the Cameroon international to acclaim a lot of praise from the coaches and fans all
over.
However, N’Koulou could not hide his disappointment when asked about the club’s 2011/2012 campaign.

When asked about the future of Didier Deschamps at the club, the Velodrome defender rubbished reports claiming that the Frenchman is on his way out of the club. for the dismal 2011/2012 campaign.
According to Nicolas N’Koulou, failure to perform well is not the fault of the coach. All the players were responsible for it and each player has to take equal blame and criticism. Deschamps should not be held responsible for every failure of the team.
The former Monaco man spoke of his admiration for the Deschamps and highlighted the role the Frenchman has played in his 3-year-spell at the Rhone giants.
"I personally have great admiration for this man (Didier Deschamps). Marseille need him, he takes responsibility and when it goes wrong, we all criticise him. But do not ignore all the good things he has done for the club.”
Nicolas N’Koulou made 30 league appearances for the Stade Velodrome side this season. On his own future, the N’Koulou vowed to stay at Marseille for the foreseeable future. However, a concrete offer from the big giants of Europe would test his resolve to
