Nicole Castrale makes a comeback to the LPGA
After being away from pro golf for months, American star Nicole Castrale is returning to the LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) with a baby daughter to keep her busy.
Castrale had been going well, playing events until she left the LPGA after her pregnancy.
Now that the former Palm Desert High School prodigy has vowed to make a comeback in the LPGA, analysts have said that things are going to shape up in her golf career.
She was recently seen at Mission Hills Country Club, hitting balls on the practice range.
Speaking to the media about her new born child and plans to set foot on the course once again, Castrale said she is happy to have her baby girl.
Moreover, this is going to be major breakthrough for her troubled career. She said that she has decided to focus on the task at hand, that is, regaining momentum on the course.
When asked how she is going deal with the new responsibility of looking after her child while playing pro events, Castrale said that she has already started training on the practice range, despite the new job to spend time with Eleni Castrale, her baby girl.
“Before, I had to get my workouts in. But now I just get them in and it's OK if I don't get them in,” Castrale said. “Because I've got a little girl I've got to get home to”.
However, the thrilled American is keen to point out that she has gained plenty of confidence after giving birth to her child, as she has been able to put an end to her off-course woes as well.
The 32-year-old had been better than average on the course, as she won racked up 3 professional victories, one on the LPGA and two on Future Tours.
Castrale’s commitment to golf seemed to fade after she faced a debilitating injury problem in the 2010 season.
She had an injury on her left shoulder, which caused her stay off the course. Castrale spent days in the hospital as she had to undergo reconstructive surgery to fix the problem.
“I look at it as the last couple of years haven't been that my golf game just went south. I've went through things,” said Castrale.
