Nicole Richie Haircut Help!!!?? ?

Question

Right now I have really long (about a few inches above my waist) hair and it's really thick and curly. I blowdry and flat iron my hair on a regular basis, so I was thinking of going for a short cut to save time on blow drying and flat ironing.

Should I ask them to thin my hair when I cut it? Should I ask for long or short layers?

Btw, I'm going to buy a CHI flat iron to make sure I can get my hair really straight.

If I were you, I'd go for longer layers, so it's easier to manage, since you have naturally curly hair. You should also ask them to thin out your hair, since curly hair tends to be thicker.
