Switzerland’s upcoming player Nicole Schaller advanced into Women’s Singles semi-final by proving her worth in the quarter-final contest when she toppled Denmark’s Sandra Maria Jensen in a crushing fashion at the Yonex Dutch Open Grand Prix on Friday, October
12, in Netherlands.
The un-seeded Nicole, who has been showing her tremendous craft on court throughout the competition, remained quite consistent in her positive and confident play on court and easily stamped her mark over her Danish challenger in an emphatic fashion.
Swiss shuttler played to her maximum potential in this quarter-final clash as she remained focused all the way and easily managed to send Sandra packing by ending up the battle in straight games with a decent margin in just 25 minutes.

The Danish shuttler was unable to move fast in all corners of the court and she took the bird late which caused her a severe blow and she crashed out at the top-eight stage.
The opening game of this competition was impressive when Nicole played with tremendous control and scored eight consecutive points to set up a remarkable 8-0 lead.
However, Sandra elevated her play by accelerating her speed in all areas of the court and managed to make the score levelled until the end of first half.
In the concluding part, both ladies put in extra effort to set up a reasonable lead and it was Nicole who showed up great performance and managed to win the set with a reasonable margin of 21-18.
In the second set, Nicole continued playing dominating and positive badminton and remained successful in setting up a huge lead of 11-5 until the mid-game interval.
After the break, Nicole stayed in lead without showing any mercy to her rival and managed to bag the second game with a huge margin of 21-14.
