Nicollin confident about holding on to Giroud, Yanga M’Biwa and Belhanda – Ligue  1 news
Controversial president of Ligue 1 side Montpellier Herault, Louis Nicollin has said that he is confident of securing the services of French striker Olivier Giroud, Moroccan international Younes Belhanda and Mapou Yanga M’Biwa despite the trio’s recent form.
Second in the Ligue 1 standings and just three points behind league leaders Paris Saint-Germain, Montpellier have indeed made a great start to the season. It must also be said that the club is counting a lot on one of its best generations.
Giroud has already scored eight goals and has provided two assists. The Frenchman is now on the verge of making his debut for the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Belgium-c2850.
The striker’s performances are already attracting interest from a host of French and English clubs. Younes Belhanda along with Yanga M’Biwa has also been crucial to the recent highflying performances delivered by La Paillade.
Despite so much interest in the three players from all quarters of Europe, club president Nicollin is confident that the trio will stay at the club and he will be looking to reject any offers coming in for the players in the upcoming winter transfer window.
While talking to the media, Nicollin pointed out that Olivier Giroud has a release clause on his contract.
“We will do everything to keep them. The only problem is that Olivier Giroud has a clause. It is a fashion nowadays anyway,” said the controversial president.
Regarding the other two players, Nicollin is hopeful that they will be at the club by the end of the current campaign at least.
However, Nicollin admits that M’Biwa might leave the club if a good offer came in the January transfer window.
“Younes Belhanda and Mapou don’t a have a clause on their contract. I think Belhanda will stay and I will do everything to keep hold of Olivier and Giroud. If they really want to try their luck elsewhere I will let them go because they are great boys and
have exceptional mindset,” Nicollin said thus confirming that he won’t become a hurdle in his players way if they request for a transfer.
As usual, Loulou Nicollin has put faith in his guts and though the disclosure of a release clause on Giroud’s contract means many clubs would round up on the striker, Nicollin has done well in putting his faith on his players who have played a major role
in the club’s recent rise in Ligue 1.
