  1. If the baby was born in Israel then it will be an Israel citizen.

  2. The baby will be both.

Anyone born in Israel is considered an Israeli citizen and is subject to the draft.

As an Israeli living in the U.S, my son, who was born in the U.S, will be drafted if he goes to Israel, simply because I, his mother, was born in Israel.

  3. They will need to register the birth of the baby at the nearest American embassy or consulate to have a document to prove the child is an American citizen...this is very important. The child will need that document.  They can also apply for his American passport and social security card there...and should, as soon as possible.  See number 6 on  2nd site below.  Because the infant will be born in Israel, he should also have  Israeli citizenship too.

  4. American women make American babies... lol...as long as the parents are US citizens (or even if only one is), any child will automatically be considered American.  They may also be considered an Isreali citizen if that is the law in Israel, which I'm not sure of.  So the child would have BOTH citizenships in that case, and they could choose to come to the US if they don't want to serve in the Israeli army.  However, they may need to renounce their Israeli citizenship to do that (again, I'm not sure exactly how that works).  All I know for certain is that the child will definitely be considered at least American, because 1 or both parents are.

  5. if the parents are american, then the baby will become an american citizen by naturalization , they will have to register the baby at the american consulate in tel aviv or jerusalem.

dont worry about the army, you have 18 years to worry about it , enjoy the baby.most youngsters enjoy the army.and if they dont live in israel , then there are ways to get out of serving.who knows what will happen in 18 years (its a long time)

congrats on the new addition to the family

  6. The child will be a citizen of Israel & needs to be registered as a US

citizen. I am sure they are not going to draft a baby into the army, so

if its a he, he will have 18 years to grow up.

  7. if the child  was born in Israel it is Israeli but it can become american if the one of the child's parents are american the child can become also an american like my mother is Canadian so all my mother would have to do to make me also Canadians would fill out some papers and stuff and i would be american and Canadian

  8. The baby will be citizen of both the US and Israel.

If the child is Jewish he/she will have to serve in the army unless he/she moves to the US before a certain age(I think 16).

EDIT - the parents will have to do some paperwork to get the US citizenship for the kid.
