Manchester City midfielder and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 international Nigel De Jong has gone on to hail his team mate Mario Balotelli. The midfielder has admitted that it is a delight to see the striker finally pick up his form. At the same time, De Jong believes that
the improved performances shown by the Italian striker have helped City in a time of need.
Over the course of the last couple of weeks, Balotelli seems to have taken up a completely different path, than the one that he normally used to follow. The player has been focusing on his football and nothing else, while staying away almost every single
off-field drama that he is normally associated with.
De Jong is amongst the many City players who have gone on to develop a new found respect for the striker and the player believes this is only going to help the forward play even better along with his team mates.
“I think he is getting it now, why we always try to teach him a lesson. He is getting it slowly but surely”
“You have to give him credit for the last couple of weeks, not just on the pitch but in the training sessions.”
The player then went on to admit that by his normal standards, the striker was performing exceptionally well on and off the field and his was keeping everyone associated with him quite happy.
“He is behaving quite normal for him. Everyone is happy to be with him.”
De Jong then ended by admitting that no one ever had any doubts about the player and his abilities, since everyone was more concerned over what he would do next instead.
“Nobody ever doubted his qualities but with great qualities you need to have big responsibilities as well - not only on the pitch but outside as well.
“I think he showed that to the group and Manchester City as well in the last couple of weeks.”
Balotelli has managed to score an impressive four goals in his recent performances for the team, but every time he has stepped onto the pitch for City, he has contributed in almost every single department on the field. The player gets involved with the midfield
and then tracks back to help out with the defence every now and then. All in all, the player has become a complete forward and could easily go on to become one of the best in the business, should he keep his act together.
