The Nigerian International expressed his delight at the prospect of playing for Milan. He mentioned that it would be an honour for him representing the former European champions and was looking forward to cement his place in the Rossoneri starting line-up.
The 26-year-old further hailed the Serie A champions on achieving the Scudetto this season and also reserved praise for coach, Massimiliano Allegri, who won a Scudetto with Milan in the very first season as the manager.
Taiwo spent six years playing for Marseille (2005-2011). It took him a bit longer to win the manager’s trust before cementing his place in the starting XI. He managed 187 Ligue 1 appearances from which he bagged 17 goals. He also has made 48 International
appearances so far for the Nigerian national side and has five goals under his belt.
Taiwo insisted that he could win Silverware with Milan on consistent basis and therefore is looking forward to make his debut as soon as the 2011/12 season undergoes. Former Lobi Stars player has already passed the club’s medical and has agreed on a three-year
deal with the Serie A champions.

The Nigerian suggested that the critics should wait for him to appear on Italian grounds before giving out any statements. He was sure that everyone would have to shut their mouth up once he cements his place in Allegri’s line-up. Taiwo will officially join
the Rossoneri ranks from July 1, 2011.
