Night Club/Dinner Wear in Cancun?

Question

Going to Cancun Mexico end of this week. It seems during the day people just dress for warm weather to be comfortable and casual. How about at night? What do people typically wear to restaurants (like the nicer ones in the Resort...i.e. Moon Palace) or to bars and clubs? I'm 24 and male. What should my girlfriend wear? Thanks a bunch.

Girlfriend should wear casual smart resort clothing for night time. Sun dresses, skirt/top, Capri's, dressy shorts. No high heels. Nice sandals.

For you, kayak pants, collared shirt.  It depends where you are dining. Some people love to dress up.  Really Mexico is very casual. Wear what you feel comfortable in. Some people are toooo casual. Wear what you wear at home if you are going to a club or having a nice dinner out. No body will really care. Just be neat and presentable.

In the resort Ala cart rest. men must wear collared shirts and slacks girls must dress nice no sandals for men and no flip flops for girls. It's kinda weird cause after a few days you get sick of dressing up I wore skorts and I could wear my tennis shoes with low socks. My husband brought two pair of pants one khaki and one jeans and that was OK. and Golf shirts. Some ladies go all out and dress way up sundresses are good I bring those and wear the dressy little flip flops and they never say anything I think they just don't want you coming in with beach attire.
