Night High School or Normal Day High School?

Question

Im going in to my jr year and im lacking alot of credits thanks to credit withdrawl.But they gave me the oppertunity to go to night school and start the year over but idk how it would feel missing out on all the fun non academic things to do in high school like prom,games,activities.Any help?

I would definitely suggest normal daytime high--school for several reasons:

Daytime high-school, and all of the experiences it allows, affords and provides, is a one of a kind / and a one-time thing.  If you go to night school, I doubt you will be forced to exhibit the same type of competency as you would in a normal daytime program.  Although the night program is to follow the same academic guidelines etc as the daytime program, it just does not happen that way, and I know from experience.

When in my senior year, I was lacking credits because of a move my parents made, to another state, whose academic guidelines / regulations were more 'lax'.  I had the same option as you - - and because I needed to work part-time, I selected night school.  

After going for two weeks, I realized I wasn't getting near as much out of my classes as I wanted, needed, and should've been getting - so I opted to go back to daytime classes.  But because I did the night school thing for just two weeks, I was disqualified from participating in a couple of events at my 'normal' high school, and to this day, I miss those experiences - because when talking with friends . . . those are experiences I cannot share my feelings and thoughts about :-(.  

Had I stayed in night school, I would've missed more of those opportunities you mentioned (prom, dance's, other activities), and you can never get those opportunities back, plus you will always wonder what they would've been like, etc, had you been able to go.  

My advice:  Go back to daytime high-school, BUST your butt to take as much as you can, and STUDY, because only YOU will benefit as you get older, and you'll have SO MUCH to be proud of - - I KNOW :-).
