  1. water

  2. You could eat carbs the night before, I don't think that it would hurt. Really though, A 10k is not that long of a race.  You don't need to worry about carb loading the night before.

  3. Banana and water are perfect before the race.  But you really need to concentrate on getting lots of rest the NIGHT BEFORE the night before.

Be sure to stretch and warm up.

    Good Luck

  4. the night before for dinner you should eat a meal consisting of mostly carbohydrates, so a pasta dinner would be perfect.  the day of the race you can eat a meal 3-4 hours before the start, which should also be mostly carbs..  if you want to eat something right before the beginning of the race you should have a sports bar that has carbohydrates, not a lot of protein, and less than 3 grams of fiber.  you want a small amount of fiber because fiber slows down the absorption of sugars into your blood stream (which is good for a day to day healthy diet) but when you are about to begin exercise(or during exercise) you want the sugars to get absorbed quickly so your body can use them for energy immediately.  i hope thats what u were looking for.
