  1. Does your television blind you when it shows an image of the sun?  Your screen doesn't have the ability to display the true brightness of an intense bright light and neither does the image produced by NVG's.  If the light is too bright the NVG will shut down automatically to protect the sensitive electronics.  They will turn back on when the light level is low enough to operate normally.  They most you would see if you took off the lens cap in bright light is a split second flash of green and then nothing.

  2. Not permanent blindness, unless you look directly into the sun if im not mistaken. But you won't be able to see with them on if you're in the light

  3. no. you'll just have your own vision impaired. it's called a flare or flare up. you can wear them in the day time with the cap on the lens. it's weird how it still works. we actually cover our headlights with duct tape and you can still see like they're uncovered. those things are pretty amazing.

  4. they will blind your vesion temporaraly as long as you keep looking in the light

  5. They will not blind you but you wont be able to see depending on the amount of light we are talking about.

  6. Of course not. What will happen is you will end up burning out the reticle of your NVG's. If you power then up in daylight you need to cap them with no more than a pin hole for light to get in.
