Nightlife Rome/Venice?

I'm going to Italy with my boyfriend...anyone find any good night time spots?

I'm sure you'll have plenty of answers regarding Rome... As for Venice I can you several things to do.

1. The Biennale - it's the every other year art event of the year (this during the day and it's a must).

2. An evening close to the Rialto market - table are set out by the many bars and the mood is classy sassy

3. Campo Santa Marghertia - where most of the students hang out in the evenings and drink and party.

The Biennale has also brought dance groups to Venice - google "Venice Biennale" and you'll find plenty of artsy things to visit in the evenings.

Note that there really isn't much late night life in Venice. the restaurants close early as do the bars. It is difficult to get a meal after 9:30 / 10:00 in the evenings. The bars close early (midnight 1am) too.

in town there is casinò and little local suggestive.

if you wont there is the venice coast at 1/2 hour from the centre of venice. the beach most beautiful is jesolo. there is many disco and nightlife. the most beautiful disco is "il muretto"
