I am visiting the St. Louis area and would like to know where to go out. My friends and I are between the ages of 23 and 27. We like to dance and enjoy R&B, Hip Hop, Neosoul, and Pop music. Do You have any suggestions?

  1. I like the Central West End.  It's elegant, yet eclectic -- there's just a nice energy there.

    Welcome to "the Lou."

  2. Try this website: http://stlouis.metromix.com/bars-and-clu...

And I agree with Hutch, the Washington Ave area is a great start. Nectar/Pepper/Fifteen are all very fun but a little more upscale. It is always a party scene at The Landing but beware, it tends to get overrun with bachelor/bachelorette parties on the weekends! Its a fun time though and the Big Bang is awesome (dueling piano bar)!

Soulard is an older neighboorhood (home to our annual Mardi Gras celebration) that offers several fun bars within walking distance.

Based on your ages and msucial tastes here are some specific recs that you should be able to look up on MetroMix:

    -Lafayette Pub

    -The Big Bang

    -Fifteen

    -Bar Louie

    -Dante's

    -Club Buca

-Al Hraboskys (if the Cards are playing)

    Good luck and have fun!

  3. I've seen this question in 2 categories, and you've had some interesting answers. My suggestion to you would be to go to Laclede's Landing along the river near the Arch. It's usually a younger crowd down there and there are a lot of clubs in close proximity to one another that will provide a wide array of options. For the young to mid-twenties crowd that will provide the most options without having to get in a car and drive around. It's also near the Lumiere Place Casino, si that is another option if everything else is slow, but I don't think the clubs at the Casino would appeal to you as much.

Another GREAT area is over on Washington Avenue in the loft district. There are trendy upscale clubs up and down the street from 7th or so all the way down to 20th. There's a club/bowling alley, several clubs with live music and lots of great restaurants as well. Places like the Dubliner, Lucas Park, etc. If you get down near 20th you actually need to head 2 blocks south to Locust and you'll find places like Pepper Lounge and F15Teen which are very popular. Again these aren't all that far from Laclede's landing and I think are much better places, but possibly a little older. (Mid-20's to 30's)

  4. The scene on the Landing downtown is probably right up your alley.  There are several clubs and bars.

  5. well welcome to saint louis i have been a resident of the saint louis county for 20 years born and raised, there are a ton of clubs and bars with great food in the loop or on the landing. the loop is downtown Delmar street, i suggest Blueberry Hill great bar with cheap but good food and had local and other artist playing like every saturday night. the landing is downtown like on the river front. we also have the admiral and the casino queen for gambling. also try if you have a day to go to the zoo its free if you park on the street or in the art muesum's parking lot, because parking on the zoo lots costs like 10 dollars. they just finished "the river's edge" where the elephants, hippos and such are at. its a real fun place for anyone plus great photos.

  6. Try finding some on google!

  7. again....WELCOME TO ST.LOUIS....the 1st answerer had some good suggestions but failed to properly address your question.....the landing is just north of the arch ,it has some great clubs for a group of young adults like yourselves...good music and lots of room to dance...the Soulard area offers a lot of smaller clubs with live music....lots of blues....then there is the westport area located at I-270 and Page Ave....lot of clubs in that area....one stop bar hopping....LOL...the delmar  loop that was previously spoken of is also a nice area very eclectic and diverse....hope you enjoy your stay....be safe and come back again...you could check out the Riverfront Times paper....available at the entrance of most bars and restaurants in the greater metro area...........HAVE FUN
