Malaga has a thriving nightlife all year round - you'll find everything from traditional gypsy flamenco performances and hospitable back street tapas bars to modern nightclubs.

Heres a great website here which you can check out to see if any of the typically Andalucian Tapas bars are your kind of thing.

Start out along the town's main thoroughfare, Calle Larios, adjacent to the city's port. Off Calle Larios, you can gravitate to any of the tascas, discos, and pubs lining the edges of the Calle Granada. Particularly fun and atmospheric is La Posada, Calle Granada 33 (no phone).

Malaga is a very cheerful town, and the "locos veranos", the "crazy summers" at its beaches, are famous in all the land. But not only during the summer-season, all the year through you will find an animated nightlife. Going out belongs to an Andalusian's everyday-life like Flamenco music. In the following parts of the town it is for certain that you won't get bored:

    El Palo

At the beautiful promenade along the sea-side you fill find many fish-restaurants as well as fashionable locals. In a warm summer-night the terraces are an ideal starting-point for your exploration of Malaga by night.

    La Malagueta

This is a more modern part of the town, with several fashionable locals for young people.

    Pedragalejo

The many pubs in this part of town are among the most fashionable. On the other hand you will find here traditional bars and restaurants to enjoy classical Andalusian kitchen.

I'm sure you're going to have a great time- all the very best of luck in your exams! Enjoy Malaga!

  2. Avoid Malaga. Its horrible.Go straight to Ibiza or Barcelona. More expensive but well worth staying out of Malaga.

  3. Malaga is great.  The bars dont really get going till quite late.  We were just there last Sunday and found a great place over by the old church, it looked like a cafe bar, next to the Irish bar...they served the best Mojito's.  In the main part of town you have lots of bars and restraunts and all are very very very cool and fab...just be careful of the Pacheran, I think thats spelt correctly it's like a liquer...stick to the beer!!!!!!

    Have a really great time!!
