Nightly I see a very bright light in the sky. it seems too low to be a star or planet. What is it?

  1. Actually, there is a large chance of it being Venus, as it is one of the brightest objects in our sky


  2. To the south, it would be Jupiter and to the west near sunset it would be Venus.

  3. I'll bet you're seeing Jupiter.  

  4. Low in the South these days is Jupiter.


  5. Suitti is correct. If you are looking toward the south, then you are undoubtedly seeing Jupiter, which has been especially bright lately.

  6. I think it is the lightning or a scheduled aeroplane fly pass nightly.  

  7. That wold be Jupiter.  It is quite bright and if you have binoculars, you cold see up to 4 of the moons of Jupiter.  There are many Websites available that will give you info.
