Question:

Nightmares about nothing?

I have nightmares very often, but nothing is happening in them, like I'm sitting on a couch next to someone in a blank, white room, and for some reason, I'm scared I wake up and notice that it happened again,

get freaked out, then go back to bed.

Sometimes the dream is different, there is no picture in my mind,

but I am thinking about a number, but I don't know what it is, and I don't know why I'm having weird dreams like this in the first place, but

I also don't understand why they scare me...

BTW- I'm not sure how often I have this dream, I estimate about once a month, but I don't usually have them during summer.

  1. It may be your mind just relaxing. It could be someone trying to contact you from beyond. NO JOKE!

  2. Smoke a hoot every night before bed. Sure, most people wont agree, but it will help. You will get the best sleep ever. Hey, its better than alot of other things people do. Just being honest.

  3. not a lot to go on but here goes;

    if the person next to you is what's making you afraid, then I would say

    that it's spiritual.  Could be demonic, but I don't think so.

    the blank white room reminds me of the feeling I get with a blank white canvas; you don't know what to paint.  Is it possible that the room represents your life, and you don't know what to do next?

    hope it helps you figure some of it out; but there wasn't a lot to work

    with.  I'm sorry.

  4. Our dreams are influenced by a percentage of what is on our mind and what we see and do. You can have nightmares from eating too late in the evening right before going to bed or from watching TV as well. So it isn't uncommon to have random nightmares.

    However, in your case it sounds like it is related to school and some type of fear you have towards not being able to perform. The blank white room represents a blank white paper or test you are unable to answer. A number represents your grade you want to achieve or an answer you cannot remember.

  5. Maybe this has something to do with your room being cold? I know that's random, but it has been shown that the colder the temperatures in a room that you sleep in are, the more likely you are to have a dream about what terrifies you the most. Do you not like isolation? That could be the problem. I had a dream similar to that once, but I never had it again. Maybe you should go to sleep close to an item that gives you comfort, like a book. I think that should do the trick. If it doesn't, you should find out why this dream scares you before you look for help.

  6. It could be that you're subconscious is trying to tell you that you're afraid of being alone. You probably don't get it in the summer because you probably visit more in the summer.
