Reports from Philips Stadion confirm that Brisbane Roar have successfully acquired the services of PSV Eindhoven forward, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Stef-Nijland-c33973, on loan. The 24-year-old will spend the next four months at Suncorp Stadium before returning to his parent club.

In spite of enjoying plenty of playing time during his two loan spells, the 24-year-old has still not managed to cement his place at Philips Stadion, making only 18 Eredivisie appearances thus far since his arrival in the summer of 2008.
While remaining on the sidelines in the ongoing 2012/13 season, the PSV management yet again decided to send the promising striker on loan for the rest of the season in order to give him more playing time.
And the 24-year-old has expressed his delight at joining the Roar, and has revealed that the Australian A-League outfit was quick to acquire his services.
“I’m looking forward to the Brisbane Roar challenge. Brisbane Roar Blues have moved quickly to bring me in. We got in touch only last week after which I gained information from Han Berger, Technical Director at Football Federation Australia”
“Of course I had to consult my family and had a conversation with the Brisbane Roar manager. He told me he would like to see me in the number 10 role behind strikers. Then I made up my mind and decided to join the Brisbane Roar. I may play about fifteen
matches for them and then we’ll see what happens”, Nijland was quoted as saying to the club’s official website.
