Hi to all that completed the Nike+ Human Race in Melbourne last Sunday.

Just wanted to know what anyone else's experience of the race was?

It was my first 10K and i absolutely loved it! Loved running through the streets of Melbourne in a sea of red t-shirts.

Thought the course wasn't easy though with 3 steep hills, but felt a huge sense of accomplishment when crossing the finish line!

Thought it was great that Craig Mottram and Steve Monaghetti were there too.

Thought it was great the results went up so quickly on the website, but would've liked to have seen more photo's of the day on there!

My finishing time was 1 hour 6 minutes and 17 seconds.

Looking forward to doing a sub 1 hour next year!

Looking forward to hearing other people's experiences of the race.

  1. Greetings - I ran the Human Race in Chicago.  It was awesome!  We had 14,000 runners, the largest turnout for an American City.  It was my first 10K as well.   The course was fairly flat and finished up running along scenic Lake Michigan.  The best thing was when I saw Soldier Field because that meant the finish line was close!  I ran 54 minutes;next time I'll train harder and be around 46 (my best 5 K time is 21 minutes.)

We finished up the race with a Fallout Boys concert and they were excellent!  I was 15 feet from the stage.

I too am looking forward to another Nike Human race.  In the meantime, I signed up for two five K's and the Detroit Marathon half marathon event, which will be another first for me.
