Question:

Nike iPod Nano Kit Questions...

Those of you who have had experience with this setup what are your likes and dislikes. The one thing that I'm concerned about before I buy is that once the battery in the chip that goes in your shoe goes dead (after 1 year or so) you have to replace the whole chip because it's sealed. I haven't seen where you can buy just the chip itself. I don't exactly want to buy a whole new setup every year or so. I already have the nike shoes by the way.

Anyway, tell me what you think of this. THanks!

  1. It's only $26 for the whole thing at my running store. There is a little button on the shoe chip that you can use to put it in hibernate mode. Mine worked great right out of the box. I like that it tells you as you are running your distance, pace, over all time at certain milestones depending on how long your workout is. If you want to know the info at any time just push the center button. If you want to go right to your power song press and hold the center button. I like that when plugging it in I tunes opens up and sync's it with Nike plus.

There's nothing that I dislike about it.

  2. I LOVE Nike+, and I can't run without it now that I have it! I love everything about it! I've had it for almost a year, and the battery is still good. I read somewhere that you could just buy a replacement sensor, but I don't recall where. You could probably find it on the Nike website or Apple, or somewhere on the Internet.

You don't need the Nike shoes. I have Asics and I bought this thing called ShoePouch (ShoePouch.com), and you can just lace it on any running shoe. It's accurate, and only about $7. That's a lot less than the $100 Nike+ Shoes!
