Nikki Garrett speaks about her training programme
Nikki Garrett, who finished tied for the 17th place at the Unicredit Ladies German Open, recently talked to the media about how she keeps herself fit for the sport.
Hailing from Australia, Nikki has not been able to put her name among the key LET (Ladies European Tour) stars, but she has certainly done things that make her stand out among most of the players.
Nikki is an avid athlete, as she likes to spend most of her spare time in the gym working out.
Speaking about t her favourite gym in Australia, Nikki said that she has been involved in physical training for a long time now, and has worked out without joining a gym.
She said that she likes to work out at Mingara One, as it features all the latest facilities. The Aussie star has been associated with a fitness programme dubbed “Get fit to golf program”. The programme features celebrities and regular members.
When asked how she improved after following the fitness programme, Nikki said that she has seen a considerable change in her strength and stamina, and now she can make more balanced strokes than ever before. 
Explaining what she does to keep her fit, she pointed out that she focuses on exercises that make muscles strong.
“I do things that benefit me in general keeping me strong and fit. I work a lot on my hips as they are troublesome, so I work on my hip flexibility, my balance and my general strengthen and conditioning,” she shared.
The golfing sensation said that she has improved tremendously in recent months. “It keeps my golf in good shape, I am more central and stable, which keeps my legs steady. I work hard to keep everything solid and grounded”.
During her interview, Nikki revealed that she had been an avid surfer before joining golf, and even had a severe accident, hurting her hips.
She went on to say that she has been working out for the last ten years, which has helped her fix her injuries.
“I had a surfing accident when I was younger and ended up injuring my back and hips. So, I had to work out to keep them strong and stable, and obviously, it has improved my golf swing,” Aussie golfer shared.
