Tottenham Hotspur midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Niko-Kranjcar-c27926 has revealed that he will not leave White Hart Lane in the January transfer window.
The 27-year-old also admitted that despite not having a place in the first team at Tottenham Hotspur, he was not worried about losing his spot on the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Croatia-c2879 national team. Kranjcar has made just ten appearances in all competitions so far.
He was in the team that registered a 3-0 win over League Tow side Cheltenham in the third round of the FA Cup over the weekend. The Croatian was highly impressive in midfield as he dictated play from the centre of the field and caused the opponents trouble.
However, it seems highly unlikely that Kranjcar will retain his place in the starting line up once the Premier League fixtures resume in mid-week. Fellow Croatian http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luka-Modric-c22857 will once again be reinstated as the creative midfielder for the clash against
Everton.
Kranjcar was initially linked with the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775 for a move in the winter transfer window, but the midfielder revealed he was willing to remain with the Spurs. The former Portsmouth midfielder said while speaking to reporters:
“I still believe my future is here. I know the next few months I want to stay, get in shape and hopefully have a good Euro 2012.
The club have been great with me since I came. If I don't play here I still hope to be in good shape for the Euros.
I would hope to prove myself in the friendlies before the tournament. That's why I'm staying.”
As for Modric, Kranjcar was certain he would also remain with Tottenham Hotspur despite being linked with a move to rivals Chelsea in the summer transfer window. He remained positive that Modric was happy at White Hart Lane and would continue playing for
the London side.
He revealed:
“Luka has been fantastic. You can see that on the pitch and he wouldn't be if he was not happy.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786? I think that was a long time ago. I think the season kicked on from there and he's been unbelievable.”
