The Bulgarian goalkeeper admits that Ajax Amsterdam, PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord Rotterdam along with his side will be favourites to become Dutch champions at the end of the 2012/13 season.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nikolay-Mihaylov-c28019, has insisted that his side’s only aim should be to lift the Eredivisie title at the end of the 2012/13 season.
The Bulgarian international, who arrived at De Grolsch Veste in the summer of 2010 after spending three years at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809, has thus far played over 50 league matches while wearing the Tukkers jersey.
Twente finished sixth on the Eredivisie table last term, and the 24-year-old glovesman has insisted that his side should go for the title this term.
“We now have now depth in the squad, and we need to go for the title. Of course, Ajax, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Feyenoord-c39258 are also the favourites”, Mihaylov was quoted as saying to soccernews.nl.
The talented shot-stopper, who started his professional career at Levski Sofia in the 2004/05 season, was heavily linked with a move away from De Grolsch Veste in the ongoing summer transfer window.
A host of European clubs reportedly expressed interest in signing the Bulgarian goalkeeper including the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/SL-Benfica-c40542. However, for now, it seems unlikely that the shot-stopper would be leaving the Enschede giants this summer.
Mihaylov has admitted that he would take the next step in his career by moving to a top European club. However, the goalkeeper made it clear that he will only join a side that will be playing in English Premier League, La Liga,
German Bundesliga or Italian Serie A.
“Of course, I have dreams. At some point, you need to change. A different culture, a different style of play. I also want to test myself elsewhere, preferably to a warmer country. Nonetheless, I would prefer joining a club that
will be playing in any of the top four leagues in Europe”, the 24-year-old concluded.
The Bulgarian goalkeeper, who has thus far played 19 matches for his national side as well, has a contract at De Grolsch Veste that runs until the summer of 2014.
