Nikon COOLPIX L11?

My Nikon COOLPIX L11 that I got this past Christmas has a memory card that is write Protected. I can't take Pictures and I have so many pictures on my baby brother when he was a new born still in the hospital. Is there a way I can take/turn off the write protect with out having to buy a new memory card? I also have read all the manual and the quick start thing i cant find an answer!! HELP ME PLEASE!!!

  1. Formatting the card in camera will normally remove all images, even protected ones. I presume you have saved them first.
