Can you use Double A batteries for a Nikon Coolpix Camera model S550? I looked on a website and they sell battery packets that say nikon coolpix camera on them, but im not sure if it can be used for this model. Please respond quickly!!!!!

  1. No, I have a S550 and my camera only uses the Batteries that come with the camera. If your looking to buy batteries, the type that you need is a EN-EL11 battery. You could go to specialty camera shops, or you could buy it online.


  2. The Nikon S550 uses a special Lithium Ion battery pack.

    Sorry, no AA batteries here, but lithium give much more battery life anyways. A good camera store will carry extra batteries if needed. They sell for about $40.
